These days it is not uncommon for people to own large numbers of domains, many of which are just forgotten about or purchased in advance for a future project.
You can 'park' your domain with companies for free, many of them create a 'parked domain page' with advertising, some such as Google Adsense for Domains pays you a percentage of the advertising income. However for these to earn you a decent amount your domain must get lots of traffic and it could also make it harder to get your site indexed in the search engines at a later date when you actually put your site to use.
If you're not parking your domain with a third party, and your site is not ready to be found what do you do? Some people just don't do any thing so when someone visits the site they are greated with a horrible 'domain not found' or 'page not found' errors.
If you register a domain for a future project or an incomplete project then you want to tell any visitors what they can expect once the site is complete, to do this you need to put a clean and basic page on your domain with details of what can be expected when they return. This is where the Parked Page Creator comes in. It is FREE service that helps you create a simple 'parked domain page' in minutes.
Go to the Parked Page Creator and complete the form, as you complete each field on the form your 'parked page' will will be shown below the form. If you leave a field blank then that item will not be added to the page.
Once you have completed the form you can check the 'View HTML source' box and the html needed to create the page is displayed, you can then copy it into a text editor and save, alternatively you can check the 'save HTML source' box and you will be prompted to save the page to your computer.
Once saved you then upload the file to your web server for your domain and rename it to index.html
